Stretchable dressings to relieve pain and promote healing of burns - Urgo

The URGO sterile burn dressing is intended for the treatment of first -degree and superficial second-degree burns (blisters) as well as superficial wounds (abrasions, cuts).

Its tulle contains lipidocolloid technology, a unique combination of hydrocolloid particles and petroleum jelly. This formula relieves pain and promotes healing . Furthermore, the dressing does not adhere to the wound and allows for painless removal .

Instructions for use :

In the case of a superficial second-degree burn: first, keep the wound under cold water for 15 minutes to limit the spread of the burn.

In all cases:
1. Clean the wound with an alcohol-free antiseptic.
2. Rinse with water or URGO saline solution.
3. In the case of a burn, never use colored antiseptics of the eosin type.
4. Dry thoroughly using a sterile compress.
5. If possible, leave the blister intact, as it acts as a barrier against infection. If it breaks, disinfect it. There's no need to remove dead skin if it doesn't come off on its own.
6. Remove the protective fins.
7. Apply to the area to be treated.
8. Using a cream beforehand is unnecessary.
9. The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 6 days with renewal of the 1st dressing after 24 hours, then every 48 hours.

Contraindications:

Do not use in case of deep second-degree burns, third-degree burns, or burns to the face. In these cases, prior medical consultation is mandatory.

Precautions for use:

Reserved for the treatment of localized wounds, the size of which does not exceed that of a compress.
For extensive burns, it is desirable that the compress extends well beyond the skin to allow for the absorption of exudates.
If you do not see any improvement in healing after 6 days, consult your doctor.
For any burns in children, ask your pharmacist for advice. If there are clinical signs of local infection (redness spreading to unbroken skin, pain, etc.), consult your pharmacist or doctor.
The URGO Burns and superficial wound dressing should be used immediately upon opening the sachet, and stored away from heat, light and moisture.

Warning: Reusing a single-use product can cause a risk of infection.

Composition :
Flesh-colored stretchable non-woven support with a central polyester mesh impregnated with hydrocolloid (carboxymethylcellulose) particles and petroleum jelly.

Formats: Sterile individual sachets.
